How can you possible go wrong with FLYERS.You can post a FLYER nearly ANYWHERE. One a pole, on a bulletin board, in a restaurant, in a library, in a dealership. Of course you can always stand in a populated area and just pass them out. Put them on the windshield of cars in a parking lot....TRULY ENDLESS LOCATIONS and usually one of the CHEAPER forms of offline advertising.
You can usually pay someone to go somewhere and pass out flyers to walking pedestrian traffic. (have you looked on Fiverr, know some high school or college students)
If you yourself are passing them out, it can be frustrating, especially if people reject them or you may find them on the ground. Focus on flyer distribution in relevant targeted places if possible. Giving a Flyer to someone in their hand will usually be MORE EFFECTIVE than just posting it somewhere.
WATCH THE LAWS when it comes distributing flyers. Don't place flyers in people mailbox, the USPS doesn't allow it....HOWEVER if you are common location, such as an apartment building, condo, residence hall, you may be able to leave a stack for people to take. Then they are more likely to be Interested because they VOLUNTARILY took it. Also be carefully about posting on cars; the area you post them on because city laws may not allow it .It can be considered an act of littering.
Make sure your flyer design is an ATTENTION GRABBER, TO THE POINT, and provides a CALL TO ACTION.
